Greetings friend 👋
Many of you have been hanging out with me for over a year, (have I told you lately how much I appreciate you??)
🚀 If you've been paying attention, you might've noticed some 'false starts' - I get fired up about something, and then you don’t hear from me for a while.
No, this isn’t an example of how flaky and inconsistent I am ❗
It’s simply a product of my natural conative abilities, and there’s nothing wrong or bad about them.
It’s just my natural way to go about things, the natural ways I take action.
Since I've embraced them, I'm calmer, more confident and I get more done.
🤓 Fun Fact: I'm a 'Quick Start'! This means I get tons of ideas and want to start on them ASAP.
I’m also a fact finder 🔍 , which means I am constantly gathering up information and pretty much never feel like I have enough info.
So I get really excited, pull the trigger on the thing, and then stall out while I’m gathering up all the info (most of which I don’t actually need)
But enough about me... This is mostly about you, friend.
🔄 hold tight, things are about to change and here's what you can expect
💌 It's time to bid adieu to the Business of Healing Newsletter
It’s been running sporadically for about 14 months and I’m grateful for you dear reader, and all the support I’ve had along the way.
What the Business of Healing ended up being was more like an experiment.
And it’s time for that experiment to end, and for me to share the results with you.
🔔 So consider this your notice, dear reader.
📆 Mark your calendar! Over the next 7 days, you'll get the anti-welcome sequence (possibly a first-ever?! 🤔)
A series of emails sharing those results, and explaining what you can expect if you stick around this list.
You signed up for one thing, and now that thing is changing - I only want to make sure you’re good and prepared to continue this journey with me.
👋 And if this isn't for you, no hard feelings! Feel free to unsubscribe.
🌟 Remember, a small, engaged community is gold compared to a sea of unopened emails.
See you soon,
🌈 Jess
PS ^ see that, I said “soon” not tomorrow, not Monday. Thanks to my KolbeA, I know that I should commit to things, but to very little and very intentionally. I know for sure I can commit to "soon", and so here it is -soon-.
How do I know exactly what I should commit to? Ever wondered why traditional wisdom around productivity and "getting things done" didn't quite work for you? Wanna know more about how it is -you- take action? Take your assessment here :
I will earn a small commission if you take the assessment, but this is actually -another- experiment I’m roping you in to- I’ve never set up any affiliate links before, and you know... when in Rome ;)
I'm Jess, professional human. And also writer, mother, partner. I'm an autistic queer woman in a heteronormative relationship - why does that matter? Because sharing my authentic self with the world matters to me. If you plan to continue here, you should probably agree- ALL the intersecting parts of our identities deserve to be at work with us. To be acknowledged, protected, celebrated. I help Not-For-Profit and purpose-driven organizations utilize AI to get more done with less - using marketing to engage audiences, steward donors, and grow wealth.
Just wanted to say Happy Halloween!! ... But also, been feeling displaced, out of sorts, like nowhere feels like home... ...Constantly, desperately seeking somewhere quiet, with low lighting, and empty, lacking human energy, even the residual kind... When you find yourself unhoused and crashing in someone else’s space, and this is the type of setting you covet most, you are in trouble. I can tell you this from experience. But then I remembered something… I have a key to a community wellness...
